Shamrocks are undeniably one of the most recognized St. Patrick’s Day icons out there. Every one knows that if you find a four leaf clover, it will bring you luck! Today’s post will be the first of many shamrock themed posts that you will find here on our blog for St. Patrick’s Day. I’m going to share with everyone a fun recipe to make edible shamrocks out of pretzels!
Ingredients:
- pretzels (choose any size you like, depending on how big you want your shamrock to be)
- white chocolate chips
- green icing
- green food coloring (optional)
- green sprinkles (optional)
Temper the white chocolate chips until it is melted (do not over heat!) Dip the pretzels into the white chocolate and place on wax paper. To make 4 leaf clovers, use 4 pretzels! Assemble the clover as soon as possible to make sure the “petals” of the leaves stay together. Use broken pretzel bits to make the stem, and dip them in chocolate as well!
To decorate the shamrock, you can either pipe on green icing on top or add green food coloring to the white chocolate. You can also add sprinkles on top before it dries! It is up to you!
Will you be trying this recipe out this St. Patrick’s Day? If you are, would you be making 4 leaf clovers, or 3 leaf clovers? Let us know in the comments below! Also, let us know how you decorate your shamrock!

I’m definitely doing this. How cute and festive!
Such a cute idea!!! I love it!
