I was doing my usual rounds of sifting through the internet for interesting Halloween pictures and articles when I came across this fun little baking idea. Not many things make me do a double (maybe even a triple) take, but this was definitely one of them.
Did you ever notice that a bundt cake mold bears a huge resemblance to half a pumpkin? Which means, 2 bundt cakes can make 1 whole pumpkin shaped cake!
You can choose any flavor you like for the cake (I would recommend a pumpkin or a carrot cake) and any frosting of your choice. Honestly, I think it looks better before the frosting, but what kind of cake would it be without frosting? It’s totally up to you! To make orange frosting, buy 1 can of white royal icing and drip in a few drops equally of red and yellow food coloring until you get the desired color.
The picture looks good enough to eat! Let us know if you try this out and share with us what recipe you used!
