We all know Halloween may not be the chic-est holiday out of the year, but that is no excuse to skimp! We’re in the year of 2011, time to bring some modern touches to all our holidays! This is why I am so excited to introduce to you this idea that has been popping up a lot in the Halloween decorating world. I’m talking lace pumpkins. If this isn’t chic, I don’t know what is!
They look great (and believe it or not) are easier to make than you think! Here’s how:
Supplies:
- patterned tights/stockings (any color you wish)
- scissors
- pumpkins
- rubber bands
Cut the feet of the tights. Slip the leg part of the tights over the pumpkin and tie a knot at the bottom to keep the pumpkin from falling out. Once you completely cover the pumpkin, use a rubber band to secure the stocking onto the stem of the pumpkin. Cut off the excess.
Sounds easy, right? That’s because it is! Stockings now come in such a large variety of patterns that you are sure to find one you like. This probably works best with smaller pumpkins (or else they don’t fit in the stocking). If you try this out, leave a comment below and show us your masterpiece!

beautiful!
Love this idea! The pumpkins really look amazing and it sounds so simple. Thanks for sharing!
